Sales District Borders

Many clients have requested that we integrate a district layer into the territory map view. So we did! In order to use this feature you first need to create districts (click here to learn how to create sales districts). Once you have districts created you can easily toggle on/off the district borders with one simple click. This new district border layer allows you to see every sales territory that you designed in addition to the borders of your sales districts on your sales territory map. To learn how to toggle this district border on and off just watch the video above.

New Features in Latest AlignMix 2016 Release

We’ve just released a new update for AlignMix. It’s a significant update and includes some cool new functionality. This will most likely be the last big update before the official launch in April (don’t worry, there’ll still be a free version after April).

You can download and install the new version here (install over the top of the last version – no need to uninstall last version)

Thematic Maps:

You can now create beautiful thematic maps for zip codes and territories. You can quickly see the highs and lows across your map. Pick the color scheme from the gallery or choose your own. The view can be customized to your own needs. You can define the number of thematic buckets, their breakpoints and their color.

District / Region Maps:

Use Touch Align to assign territories to district or regions. This makes creating the first level of management so much easier. Simply select the district map view and Touch Align. Them click to create districts and move the mouse to include more territories.

Multi-Core Rendering Engine:

AlignMix now makes use of the latest CPU technology and renders the maps using all of the available processor cores. This means it’s super-smooth to pan and zoom the map, making for an even more enjoyable user experience.

Runs Better on Older Machines:

We’ve made some changes which enables AlignMix to run on older machines. If your laptop had problems running AlignMix, give the latest version a try. It will most likely run with a problem.

UK & Australia Post Codes:

We have test version of UK and Australia available. Send me a note if you’re interested in testing these geographies.

Combining Sales Territories

Combing sales territories is very easy. You can simply use the lasso territories tool to select the territories and assign them to existing new territories. This is an important trick to remember because there may be a situation where you have a sales rep leave a territory and then this vacant territory needs to be absorbed into the one next door. The lasso territory tool makes this process very fast and easy.

District Map View

The new District Map View allows you to see all of your districts and territories on the same map. Using the patent pending touch align tool you can easily assign territories to other districts and see these changes instantly. This is the perfect view for district managers to see where their district borders lie and which territories belong to them in an easy to view layout.

Thematic Maps (Over Under)

The Over Under thematic view is the first of the Thematic maps to be included in the AlignMix territory mapping package. You can use any data set that you imported for this analysis. The software will then creat a new map view based on the selected data set and show you which territories are over, under, and within bounds (all of these options you can modify) of your set parameters. This view will then show you which territories are to heavy/light with sales or potential. Once these problem areas are located you can go ahead and correct them using the touch align or lasso tools.

Zip Code Search

You can now use the Zip Code Search tool to locate Zip Codes in your sales territory maps. Simply type [ctrl+f] to pull up the search box, then type in the zip you are searching for. The search tool will automatically zoom to the zip code you are searching for and center it on your screen. This is a very useful tool when you are confirming that zip codes have been properly assigned to the correct sales rep during you sales territory planning/realignment process.
