How do I create new sales territories in AlignMix?

New sales territories can be created from scratch using the Touch Align tool, Lasso tools, or by importing an existing territory alignment from Excel. If starting from scratch, open a new AlignMix file, select your geography, and use the Touch Align tool to click and paint zip codes into new territories. How do I modify existing sales territories in AlignMix?

Existing territories can be modified at any time using the Touch Align tool, Lasso tools, or by editing territory assignments directly in the territory table. Click on the territory you want to modify to select it, then use Touch Align to add or remove zip codes. Changes update the territory metrics in real time. The Lasso tools allow you to draw a custom shape on the map and assign all zip codes within that shape to a territory in one action. Draw a freehand shape around the area you want to capture and AlignMix assigns all enclosed zip codes to the selected territory. Lasso tools are ideal for quickly capturing large groups of zip codes. What is Alignment Scope and how does it affect territory creation?

Alignment Scope controls which level of your hierarchy is active for editing — territory, district, or region. When creating territories make sure the scope is set to the correct level before using Touch Align or Lasso tools. How do I lock sales territories in AlignMix?

The Territory Lock feature prevents accidental changes to finalized territories. Once locked a territory cannot be modified by Touch Align or Lasso tools until it is unlocked. This is particularly useful when you have approved certain territories and want to protect them while continuing to adjust others in the same alignment. How do I use the Territory Lasso tool in AlignMix?

The Territory Lasso tool lets you draw a shape on the map and reassign all territories within that shape to a different district or region. This is different from the standard Lasso tool which works at the zip code level. Use the Territory Lasso when reorganizing your district or region structure. How do I delete territories in AlignMix?

Territories can be deleted individually from the territory table or by right-clicking on the map. When a territory is deleted its zip codes become unassigned and are available for reassignment. How do I unassign zip codes from a territory in AlignMix?

Zip codes can be unassigned from a territory using the Touch Align tool with no territory selected — this removes the zip code from its current territory and makes it unassigned. How do I keep sales territories within state borders in AlignMix?

AlignMix includes a state boundary constraint feature that prevents zip codes from being assigned to territories outside their state. Why can't I see my sales territories on the map?

If territories are not visible on the map check that the territory layer is turned on in the layer panel, the alignment scope is set correctly, and you are viewing the right tab. Why can't I see the territory label on the map?

Territory labels may not be visible if they are toggled off in the toolbar, the territory is too small for the label to fit at the current zoom level, or the label has been manually moved off screen.
