AlignMix isn’t just a US tool. It ships with postcode geographies for markets around the world, so you can design territories in the UK, Germany, France, Australia, and more the same way you would with US ZIP codes. You just download and install the map for the country you need first, and there’s one small wrinkle worth knowing about.
Installing an International Map
Download the international map file for the country you’re working in, then install it into AlignMix. The download step varies a little by browser. In Google Chrome it generally works as soon as you double-click the downloaded file; other browsers may add a step or two around opening it. Once the map is installed, that country’s postcode areas are available as a base geography, and territory design proceeds exactly as it does in the US.

Designing Territories Outside the US
Once the map’s in, everything you know from US alignments carries over. Postcode areas play the role ZIP codes do, you import your data keyed to them, and you balance and draw territories with the same tools. Two small tips for international work: use the world map layer to hide the surrounding countries and keep your focus on the one you’re aligning, and check whether your market’s postcodes behave like US ZIP codes or more like counties, since the right base geography still depends on customer density. AlignMix’s international geography pages cover what’s available country by country.
