Setting the Index as a Label

You can start crating territories once you've decided on your alignment criteria. Whether that's a certain territory size or balancing the territory based on the index you created in the previous section.

If you are using an alignment index to balance territories you need to first make that title layer visible. To do so, follow the next few steps.

Step 1: Make the Index Visible on the Map

Next click on the label Type and make sure it sets to Territory Data as shown in (5), then from the the drop down menu select the index (6) that you created in the previous section.

You can leave the Territory ID as one of the labels on the map in addition to the new territory index label. If you want to remove a layer Simply select the layer you want to remove and then click the delete icon (trash can). And that's it. Click OK to activate the new label changes.
