Account data changes constantly and that's why we created an easy way to update your data in AlignMix. You simply just import the updated account data and overwrite the data that is currently in the system. The customer IDs must match in order for this update to work.
First click file (1) at the top left of the screen. Next click on import (2) and then on Import Data (3)
Find the file on your PC and select it (4) then click open (5)
Click and hold on each data field on the left side of the window (1) with the left button on your mouse. Drag these data fields to the corresponding "type of Data" on the right and let go of the left mouse button. when you do this drag drop process for all of the zip based data you want to update you can then click "next" (2) which will become an active button once the data is dragged over. In this example we are only updating the Account data, this is why you see so many fields. It's important that the account IDs match up so that the data will be updated correctly.
On this screen above you see the data fields on the left side (1) and then then at "mapped to" (2) you see create a new series. If these data sets are brand new to these accounts you would leave it as create new series. If you are in fact updating data then you must double click on each series and click on the corresponding data field to update/overwrite.
When you double click on the "create a new series" (2) a drop down menu will appear (3). Here you select the data field you will be mapping/overwriting the data to. You do this process for every field you wish to update. Then you select the overwrite check box (4) in order to update/overwrite the data. Then click next (5)
In this next screen you are given a summary of the data that is being imported. Click Next to start the import process.
When the import process is finished simply click "OK" to return to the map.
Just like that you have updated account data. The example above shows the three accounts with the original data. And the image below shows the three accounts with the updated data.
